Quilting is creating a painting with fabric. And for me, the best quilts are those that take your memories out of those hidden places and put them on display!

T-Shirt Memory Quilts

Who doesn’t have a drawer, bin, or other stashed collection of t-shirts that are just too special to part with but are not being worn. So let’s turn that stash into a quilt to use or display.

My quilts are made with lots of detail and the extra steps necessary so you receive a high quality item that will preserve those memories for years to come! A multi step process to stabilize shirts and sashing to maintain them squarely over the years are just the beginning! Not all makers do this.

All quilts include:

* 12″ x 12″ tshirt sections (stabilized in a multi step process to prevent distortion of the design)
* Solid color sashing (the strips between the tshirt sections) and a contrasting solid color square at the intersection points. Colors may be specified or left to the designer’s discretion.
* Matching double thickness binding that is hand sewn to the back of the quilt
* Back is white 100% premium cotton.
* Quilts are machine quilted along all seams PLUS stitching that highlights the design in each tshirt section. This quilting method provides excellent stability for use and washing while preserving the tshirt image
* 100% cotton batting that is quite warm without being bulky. It is considered a premiere batting.

PERSONALIZE YOUR QUILT WITH ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS:
The quoted prices above are for the standard quilt featuring all single piece t-shirt blocks and solid sashing and intersection squares. A variety of options are available to personalize YOUR quilt even more. Many of these are featured in the samples pictured above.

* Pieced blocks – use smaller images pieced together into a single large block. Additional $2.50 per piece (2 pieces adds $5; 3 adds $7.50, 4 adds $10)
* use print fabrics for sashing and/or cornerstones – quoted upon request
* add photo blocks (~ 4″ x 6″ photos $3/photo, 5″ x 7″ $4/photo, 8 x 10 photo $8/photo)
* add patches & award emblems $1/patch plus $5 for base fabric
* include bandanas or other solid cotton (non-knit) materials at no additional cost unless they require additional modification to fit the 12″ x 12″ block size
* free motion script personalization such as name, organiztion, etc

Guestbook Quilts

A guestbook quilt is a great and unique way to collect the signatures and sentiments of your guests at a wedding, graduation, bar or bat miztvah, or any other special occasion!

There are 2 common sizes selected for weddings or other large events: 10 blocks by 12 rows – As shown here in the example without photos there are 116 individual squares plus the center image. If you prefer it can be made with 120 squares by leaving out the center image. Overall size is 72″ x 86″ with 6″ x 6″ squares. With all signature squares and the center price is $525. For slightly smaller weddings 10 blocks by 10 rows – As shown in the 3rd photo there are 96 blocks plus the center image (100 without the center image) Overall size is 72″ x 72″ with 6″ x 6″ squares. With all signature squares and the center price is $495

Additional sizes available for smaller events include: 8 blocks by 8 rows – 60 blocks plus the center image (64 without the center image). Overall size is 58″ x 58″ with 6″ x 6″ squares. Price is $440

6 blocks by 6 rows – 32 blocks with center image (36 without center image). Overall size is 44″ x 44″ with 6″ x 6″ squares. Price is $250

4 blocks by 4 rows – 12 blocks with center image (16 without center image). Overall size is 30″ x 30″ with 6″ x 6″ squares. Price is $175

Photo blocks for any size are optional and an additional cost – If you’d like to include more photos that can be done giving your quilt a true personalized touch. As you can see in photos 3 & 4 any number of 4″ x 6″ photos can be transferred to fabric and appliqued to coordinating fabric. Cost for this is $4 per photo. This is an add on that can be determined after the event to fill in if you don’t end up with as many signed squares as estimated.

Center image can be a photo or other image of your choice. I will need an electronic file of the image which will be transferred to fabric. Maximum size is 8 x 10. Please note that if it is a copyrighted image such as from a professional photographer it may require written permission to reproduce.

Select the size that best matches your needs and you’ll be sent white cotton squares, fabric pens, and instructions for optimizing the process. When sent back the squares will be set into the quilt using the layout you decide on (or you can leave it to me) using the color/fabrics decided upon for the sashing (strips) and cornerstones (little squares). Choose your wedding or school colors, special activity print, etc.

Baby Clothes Quilts

An adorable way to preserve those precious memories from your little one. This set can be made for either a boy (blue bunny) or girl (pink bunny).

All quilts include:

*12″ x 12″ clothing sections – these are made in a variety of ways as can be seen in the photos that sometimes show off the garment as a “whole” and other times piecing portions of the garments into blocks.
* stuffed bunny is made from 100% cotton (light pink for girls and light blue for boys) and dressed in a special item such as a baptism gown. Clothing size 9-12 months fit best.
* Sashing (the strips between the tshirt sections) and a contrasting squares at the intersection points will be made from garment or other fabric sent if possible, otherwise solid cotton will be used.
* Coordinating double thickness binding that is hand sewn to the back of the quilt made from 100% cotton
* Standard Back is white 100% cotton.
* Quilts are machine quilted along all seams and within the blocks as appropriate.
* Batting is 100% cotton and is quite warm without being bulky. It is considered a premiere batting.

* use print fabrics for backing, sashing, cornerstones if your fabrics or solid fabrics are not used – quoted upon request
